In class last night the group spoke about the lessons that they were focusing on during the previous week. The main theme was how shame and guilt had prevented them from hearing words of wisdom that would have allowed them to hear truths about their stories much sooner. So I ask you how often, when information comes to you, do you deflect it away because it means you have to look at the choices you made in the past out of anger or fear or guilt?
One of the first things that you must learn about this world and how we fit into it is that we have such awesome power. That power lies within your keeping of your heart. This Universe fills every need you have.
So, how are you doing with your positive thoughts? When you refuse to deal with the real life issues that are going on in your life you might discover that “positive thoughts” alone don’t change anything. Yes, one of the main reasons that you always feel that no one can hear you, or understand you, is because even though you use terms of peace and harmony, you smile and try and help all around on the outside… you’re cringing inside.
When you take the time to look at who you are and what you are doing, you take a long look at how you feel about your life as it is right now. You make judgments about what that is feeling like at the moment you are looking at it.
It is possible to be very happy with the world around you no matter what the life experience is with the people that you share your life with. Yes, it is!
Once again, the first place you want to begin is in the understanding of detachment. It does not mean going far, far away in your mind. It does not mean you are sharing a house with someone but not having a very fulfilling life with that person. Continue reading
