What shall we do for now?

I am sure, like myself, you have found yourself wondering, ‘why is my life feeling like it is in a holding pattern?’ Well, if you are in this holding pattern may I suggest you take a deep breath, for in the next second you could find yourself spiraling out into outer space.

Yes, I do mean take a deep breath. Yes I do mean that when we do not take the time to look at our lives and become intimate with them we can find ourselves on the side of a road in the ditch and not know how the heck we got there.  Continue reading

How do we get along with ourselves?

I am asking myself this question because so much of the time we spend looking outside of ourselves claiming that we get along with others. Yet at the same time we are telling our friends, “If this person would just be like this or if he would just change this way, life would be so much easier. Life would be so grand if she was the understanding type.”

That takes us so far away from the truth of why we are  feeling the way we are. Continue reading

Which Feeling Do I Follow?

As I was working with my class last night we were talking about how do we truly recognize when we have gotten ourselves into a situation that we do not feel good about and how to get out of it.

What I mean is… We know what our feelings are telling us.

Sometimes that feeling is, “No way… we should not be here, we should not be doing this.” Now what? Then is when we must ask, “Was it my internal feelings that I trusted that got me in this mess?”

Passion for life

When we wake in the morning, do we smile to ourselves? Are we happy to be here? Can we get up with a true reason to be here? To find a passion that allows us to feel these things should be the only reason we exist. Why, you ask? Well I believe that without our very own will to stand up and smile and be happy just because, why should we stay? Continue reading

Opinions

OPINIONS… We can have them, are we to share them?

It has come to me through my studies, that even when asked, it is not wise to share our opinions. They are really not wanted. Opinions, I have found, are just for ourselves. Opinions just show us where our beliefs are.

Beliefs are just the stories that we write and play in here on this earth. Philosophic minds through the ages have always proclaimed that this is a theatre upon which we are the playwrights; That the whole world is a stage on which we stand. So we must look at our stage, the character at which we play. Our opinions show us that very thing.

what do we ask for when we need change?

What do we ask for when we need change? I think this is probably one of the most common questions we ask. We already know what we need! We need to ask ourselves why are we afraid to take the first small step so we can allow the change in our lives. Continue reading

Why do we need to find ourselves?

This is a very interesting subject. I would like to think that each and every one of us wishes to always make a change in our lives for the better. The ability to push our own boundaries is probably the most difficult, as it comes with the contrast of someone or something we don’t desire so we can see if we come to the complete change that we desire. How do we walk away from our History?

First of all we really have to look at ourselves. We must decide what history is to ourselves.

History can mean a lot of things for a lot of people. Do we not fight wars over peoples history? What would happen if one day we woke up and decided that enough anger, mistrust, angst, hatred, sorrow, had been used? What would happen to us as an individual or even as a group of people if we said, ‘enough is enough’? Continue reading

Do we have to let it bother us?

I think a good question to ask ourselves with every scenario that we live through is, “Do we have to let this bother us?” Now there are times when I say to myself ‘yes’, even though I know that is plain silly. Yet I want to stamp my foot and say ‘hey! what about my feelings..’ Continue reading

What about this World around us?!!!!

We are all living in this world and so many things are going on around us… volcanoes, earthquakes, bad weather, friends around us, our families, everything seems to really be taking a major hit. How do we keep ourselves on track? How do we keep our heads above water? What does it mean to find an inner peace that holds us in an embrace that keeps us safe and loved as this goes on around us? Continue reading
