Okay, a question that has probably crossed your mind is… “If I am not supposed to live in my past stories, because by doing so I am carrying that energy into my future and my day to day life experience, how do I then look at my stories and not get stuck creating the same old energy over and over again?”
When you begin to truly use and be aware of how everything that you experience in your life comes from your very own most inner heart, you will then realize how very important it is to know once and for all, you must know who you are, why you have the opinions and beliefs that you have, and when you made the choice to believe and carry the stories you do.
When you are learning to use the most valuable tool that you have, evaluating each and every thought you allow to flow through your consciousness, you will at first be nervous about the changes that might occur in your life if you use this tool. Will you still have feelings about those you love and have in your life?
I was speaking about how great it is when you begin to see and are able to not be in that knee-jerk reaction as you can feel those emotions that want to make you say things or do things that makes you wonder who the heck you really are. You are now beginning to stand back from that small inner child and the learned behaviours that have you repeating those patterns in your life that frustrate you so much because they have you acting and/or reacting in ways that are truly detrimental to your well-being.
One of the things that I do repeatedly throughout the year is to look back at what my life was like just six months ago. I do this so I do not lose sight of all the quiet changes that happen without a lot of fan fair or parades. I bring this up to you because at first giving up the victim mode of our society is not an easy feat. You must be sure that as you are doing your evaluation process that it is always about you, yourself, and no one else. Whenever you look at what decision you are making and the choices that you make in those everyday moments, you must be clear with yourself that they are yours and yours alone.
As you are looking at a part of your experience make sure that you always connect it to one of the tools that I have been sharing with you. Such as… asking yourself did you respond because of what was said or done or did you react because of a learned behaviour or maybe it was because that little child within you flared up and reacted before you could truly look at what was actually happening?
When you are having some success with your evaluation process and you see your life changing and then poof something happens and you find yourself at a loss and it feels like you are right back at where you started, you are not! Why? It is simple… you are recognizing that you have taken steps to make change. You see and feel the changes in your life. Do not throw that away.
As you are beginning a new day start it by allowing yourself the moments to accept the creations you are wanting to experience in your life. When you wake up in the morning I suggest that you give yourself the time to really sit in the sweetness of all the things you are now understanding about yourself and how you, and you alone, are accountable for the very experiences you are having.
Last week in class we were discussing how each of us, even when asked questions, still do not make choices that allow for us to be the primary parrticipant in our lives. Really! Did you really just read these words? I am telling you that even though you have been working with true diligence to find out about how to make you the most important person in your world, you are still talking yourself into being the secondary participant in your very own life.
When you are looking at the things in your life that you want to make a change to, begin by asking yourself when you first walked away from your dreams. Each of you have a place where you had dreams of what you knew you wanted to experience while you were here. You must begin by asking yourself what, in your deepest part of your heart, did you know was going to be the one factor that would get in your way.
